Adelaide Hills "Serendipity Vineyard", Pinot Noir Rose Brut NV

James Halliday's 1001 Wines Under $20

Epicure, April 2011
"From an individual Adelaide Hills vineyard, this is an attractively priced sparkling pink wine. It's brightly coloured and the aroma is very pinot noir with strawberry fruit and an appealing biscuity touch. The palate is bone-dry and austere, with tight underlying structure and zesty acidity. More food wine than aperitif."

Adelaide Hills "Barton Springs Vineyard", Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Epicure, December 2011

"A well-priced young Sauvignon Blanc supporting the proposal that the Adelaide Hills is Australia's premier region for this popular wine type. There's attractive varietal purity on the nose with tropical flower and fruit aromas and zesty citrus. It tastes clean and intense with a zip of acidity."

Clare Valley "Slate Creek Vineyard", Watervale Riesling 2011

James Halliday's 1001 Wines Under $20

"The Single Vineyard wines come from particular blocks in vineyards in the 1300-ha management portfolio that express a clear impression of the terroir. Their compelling value is a reflection of economies of scale, and the skill of the winemaking team headed by Donna Stephens. This pale quartz-green tank sample immediately reflects its refreshingly low alcohol, with floral aromas and lively mouthfeel featuring lime flavours at the core, acidity and a light touch of sweetness swirling around that core. A very attractive drink for a lazy summer's day, food not required."

The Kirrihill Tullymore Vineyard Shiraz with its rich palate, well integrated oak and smooth finish also over delivers for price.

Sunday Examiner, Winsor Dobbin, October 17 2010
"I'm always impressed by the value offered by wines from Clare Valley producer Kirrihill and the 2008 vintage of this wine earned much acclaim and several wine show awards. The good news is, the 2009 is as good, if not better.
It's ripe, rich, fruit driven wine with tons of berry and currant flavours, plenty of oomph from French and American oak and chocolatey hints alongside soft tannins."

Mount Barker Courier, March 2010
This wine has ripe fruit aroma's and flavours with subtle oak and fine tannins.

Parramatta Advertiser, June 2010
It has loads of blackberry and dark plum flavours, some earthy chocolate, and a touch of spice to finish off.  Hard not to like.

Winestate Magazine, August 2010
Great colour. Big, lifted berry bouquet.  On the palate are abundant intense plum fruit flavours with threads of chocolate, strong oak and an acid finish. ««««

The rich and complex dark berry fruits of the bouquet hold out the promise of a quality palate, and the wine does not disappoint; layers of flavour in a spicy blackberry fruit range, good tannins and oak complete the picture.

Kirrihill just moves from strength to strength and this is one wine that you do not want to miss. In 2005, Kirrihill started their Single Vineyard Series and this wine is sourced from the Tullymore vineyard near the township of Clare which also produces some fine Shiraz.

While this wine is still very much a youth in the bottle, it is still very approachable now. It is vibrant ruby in the glass. There is a touch of cool mint on the nose with rich berry fruit dipping into the deeper blackcurrant realm. While the tannins are still grippy & fresh, they will of course get silkier with age. The flavours along the linear palate are of succulent berry fruit & spicy pepper and are long and lingering.

A very good food wine now but is worth giving it some cellar time to develop some gorgeous savouriness.

"This wine won the Wine of the Show trophy at the Murrumbateman Cool Climate Show 2010"

Dan Murphy's Fine Wine Buyer's Guide, 8th Edition, June 2011
"A show-stopping classic Clare Cabernet with acres of blackcurrant, plum, cassis, crushed violets and mint with enticing earthy, cedary notes. Sensational value."

Clare Valley "Tullymore Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Daily adevertiser, Wagga Wagga, April 2010
The first sniff and glass of a young cab gives the best and truest flavour.  The difficulty is leaving it long enough to repeat the effect when the first glass is this lovely!

Central Western Daily, April 2010
This is a youthful wine with varietal blackcurrant, violets and plum aroma's and some cherry vanillin oak.  On the palate the luscious flavours are persistent with ripe dark berry and plum, encased in grippy tannins that will soften with bottle maturation.

Huon Hook-Sydney Morning Herald-Good Living, May 2010
Rated in the top 50 wines to drink. With an impressive colour, richness and dense flavour. Plum and blackberry with fresh oak and slightly assertive tannins
