NV Single Vineyard, Serendipity Pinot Noir Rosé Brut
Region
Adelaide Hills, South Australia
Vineyard
The Edwards family's Serendipity vineyard is located in Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills. The vines are planted in a north south orientation on loam over podzol soils at 380 metres above sea levels.
Winemaking
The grapes were picked late February and the free-run juice was cool-fermented in stainless steel vats. The wine was then left on its lees with weekly stirring to add complexity.
Prior to secondary fermentation, a portion of the blend underwent partial malolactic fermentation adding finesse. A portion of the wine was aged in old oak.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes
We love the pink colour of this wine. Strawberries and cream on the nose lead into the palate. The acid is crisp and adds complexity and zest to the wine. Fresh and lively effervescence with a rich middle palate shows the wines depth and balance.
